![]() That’s an interesting one and it just got a big free update. What’s in the bucket today, then? Oh, Dice Legacy. Why, yes! There are inventory puzzles, how did you know? Not my sort of thing, but if it is yours the price means this isn’t much of a gamble. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: low-cost, low-budget, first-person horror game about exploring a dark house. Still, for a fiver this seems like a good enough time for platformer fans. There are a few other tricks and such to worry about, but nothing we haven’t seen before in other games. This is one of those platformers that uses gravity-flipping as a chief gimmick, challenging you to clear thirty stages of action. Crazy Gravity ($4.99)Īh, now here is some good five-dollar Switch platformer vibes. A bit of puzzle and a bit of tower defense, all wrapped up in a rather unique art style. You’ll need to make use of a variety of minions to achieve both of those goals, sending them out to do some smashing while also keeping some of them to protect the box from the incoming creatures. You have two goals on each stage: destroy all of the jars, and protect your sarcophagus. This is an interesting-looking strategy game. The different creature types mix up the platforming gameplay, keeping things fresh as you go. When you find an egg, you gain the ability to change into that creature, allowing you to explore more of the world. You explore the world, searching for eggs. You control a weird creature that the game description seems to think is sheep-like. Sheepo is an odd Metroidvania-style game. It looks like a lost Genesis/Mega Drive game, but does it play like one? Only one way to find out, friends. It has twenty-four levels across five worlds, multiple weapons and vehicles, a variety of difficulty settings, voice acting, and a whole bunch of ways to die. It’s a run-and-gun about a psychotic bunny-like alien bounty hunter. There’s a certain rough charm to the games this developer puts out, and I have to say that Spectacular Sparky really is the best-looking one yet from them. It’s all presented in a tongue-in-cheek style that evokes 1980s Saturday morning cartoons. ![]() There are five levels to play through, multiple characters to use, some additional modes, and pixelated blood splatters everywhere. Perhaps a good one for the spooky seasons, BATS is a vampire-themed 2D action game about a squad of supernatural terrorist slayers. ![]() New Releases BATS: Bloodsucker Anti-Terror Squad ($9.99) The event kicks off this Friday and will run for the usual three days through the weekend. Fist-related Spirits will be appearing more often, and you can beat them up for more gold than usual. Instead, it’s a Spirit Board event focused on… fists? Well, okay. I expected it would be Kingdom Hearts-related this time, but it surprisingly has nothing to do with it. And that means we’ve got an announcement of the next weekend event in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’ This WeekĮven after Sora, Wednesdays are Wednesdays. Let’s dig into the sand and see what comes out! News There’s a little bit of news to look at, and we round it all out with the usual lists of incoming and outgoing sales. A few of them seem like they could be a good time, which is always a pleasant bonus. In today’s article, we’ve got several new games to check out. But does the release of a new related skin on the PBE hint that the event may be returning this year? We’ll just have to keep our eyes out for any trace of our favorite rag-tag group of space adventurers flying by soon.Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for October 20th, 2021. ![]() The Odyssey event debuted last year to much acclaim from the community. His special interactions, for the most part, insult various champions from the Morning Star crew and insinuate that he should be the most powerful being in the universe. Galaxy Slayer Zed also fits into the Odyssey universe introduced last year since he was formerly a part of the Templar order that Sona belongs to before becoming disillusioned with their teachings. Zed mains and regular players alike should be able to get a hold of the skin when patch 9.8 releases in just under two weeks-it will likely cost 1,820 RP. The legendary skin itself is a work of art, with a new model and textures as well as new audio and visual effects allowing players to really sink their teeth into this take on League’s most traditional ninja assassin.
